The Titan Desert by GARMIN 2015 is already here. In just seven days the tenth edition of the most demanding BTT race in the world kicks off on a high. For the first time in the race history, more than 600 riders will be ready to depart in Boumalne Dadès on Monday 27. By front, six epic days, with varied routes that will require the best of each and every participant – everyone of them with a shared goal: enjoy a unique experience on their way to Maadid.
The riders will face nearly 609 kilometres through the most diverse landscapes in Morocco. Since the departure in the Atlas, in which riders will reach levels higher than the 2,300 meters of altitude, until the dreaded dunes of Merzouga. To do the test, if possible, an adventure of larger caliber, participants in the Titan Desert by GARMIN will face on the fifth date, for the first time in the history of the race, a stage without signage. Moreover, as usual, current edition schedule contains also a marathon stage in which riders are not able to receive any type of mechanical or physiotherapeutic assistance.
Members of RPM Events staff are already in Morocco managing the final preparations before the departure of the race in Boumalne Dades next Monday. The line-up of the current edition of the most demanding BBT race around contains world-class riders. Among of them, Czhech Ondrej Fojtík who will fight to climb on the top of the podium in Maadid as he did last year, Canadian Cory Wallace, Martin Horak, Dutch champion Bram Rood, Julen Zubero, Ibon Zugasti as well as former pro-road riders as Óscar Pereiro, Luis Pasamontes and Melcior Mauri.
Several celebrities will also be part of the adventure, as usual. Extreme athletes as Josef Ajram and Maria Pujol, former professional basketball players, Iñaki De Miguel and Elisa Aguilar, ex footballer Roberto Solozábal as well as and celebrities from different fields of activity as communication (Antonio Lobato) and showbiz (bullfighter Óscar Higares).
As usual, the Titan Desert by GARMIN will run parallel with his charity project. The fourth edition of the action “Returning to hear, returning to live”, carried out with Fundación Repsol, GAES Solidaria and Garmin, will combat the hearing problems of the inhabitants of the towns hosting the race. In addition, there are many riders who will run their particular charity projects to Morocco during the race on the next week.
So get ready for the most Special Edition of the Titan Desert by GARMIN. Within seven days the greatest show in the BTT world will be underway.
